    anyway you can get a clean focused pic of just the 2 spots that the resistors were?? hard to see when I expand that pic, you might need a magnifying glass and make sure your solder didn't flow where its not supposed to be

    I didn't use his "break" the resistor method, I used a small fine tip solder iron and the mod worked fine,, you must have something still making contact on the board have you tried just going into VFO mode and transmitting??

    yes that will help mounting it to the house, I still don't know if id push my luck with 40' of pipe maybe 25-30 feet tops to me that spot looks perfect for a tower, right at the peak and use a house bracket on the peak to stabilize it
