Which Cars Have The Most Problems With Electrical Systems

I know we have had 3 different ford rangers 2-99 1-2000 and the fuel pump noise in the radios was terrible until we put the ferrite beads on the fuel pump lines. The reason I said ford trucks was that I ran onto a trucking forum where a lot of the guys had the same problems an thats how they...

Which Cars Have The Most Problems With Electrical Systems

Ford trucks have a hell of a problem with fuel pump noise unless they have changed something in the last few years. And I'm sure that would affect the way the radio worked with some power behind it also. Ronnie

    Questions about Galaxy DX 2547

My 2547 talks an receives great, I have a D-104 on it an have a Maco 5/8 wave antenna an couldn't be happier. The only downfall with the radio I can find is the cheap-azz little legs they have to prop the front up with. One of mine broke about 2 weeks after I got it. Ron B.

    Royce 621 base to D-104 T-ug8 stand.

Some places say that I probably will hafta have the tug9 d-104 because it has more switching contacts in it than the tug8 mike does. Ronnie

I have it wired right but I keep getting an RF squeal (not feedback) when I plug the mike in. Pin 1-wht-audio 2-shield 3-TX-red 4-Blk-RX whats the story here? Ronnie

    Building a 5/8 wave antenna

Can a person build a real true 5/8 wave antenna without having to use a coil or such at the bottom (the one inside) like the maco 5/8 does? I own a small machine shop an was just wondering what it would take without having to sub out parts for one. Ronnie B. The Toolman

I used to be a Royce tech back in the 70's. Pretty much all of their radios were good talkers. Ron B.
