Motorolas quality has gone down hill! From my understanding they wont have their hands in on the ham gear anyway only the comercial stuff. As for the quality of yaesu Im ceratinly not disapointed. They are by no means built like some of my old motorolas but I dont see anything on the market that is.
I will see if I can find out how to turn up the RX. Also was wondering who programed the radios for ya becouse its hard to find anyone who can program the GE radios. If I remember right the guy that has programed all ours is in virginia.
Geting an amateur licence here is not much harder. Saidly anyone who can memorize the answer in the pool for the 35 multiple choice questions can get a licence. I wish they would have left the code for extra class but thats just me and I dont want to start a code vs no code war either. :roll:
Good info there loosecannon! Not just a Cb geek myself, stereos was my thing back before I got into radio. We had some fun back in those days building speakers,boxes,crossover networks ect. Cant help but say though as I feel as I may one of the few people who know what a good stereo system...
