Never found out what happened, but did have local Motorola radio tech calibrate the meters. Tech was impressed with the quality of the Palstar Tuner, hes only had MFJ. He wasnt impressed with Palstar from his personal past support of their product . But knew the frustration i was under...

Yes i do see the potetometers Rev Lo, Rev Hi, Fwd Lo, Fwd Hi, Fwd Peak Lo, Fwd Peak Hi. Do i just do turn till its the same as reference meters?

Paul from Palstar had me check fwd and rev voltages of the diodes.... i responded to his email with values and ops check... he never responded

Service by Palstar? How can you trust a company if they service sucks... Great product, support fails.. Its like changing oil, i rather do it my self if i have the equipment

Antenna mentioned was my previous HF antenna that knocked down during a storm. Its now with a New Ham Operator. Looks like i scored a Dentron tuner. Im currently making another 80m 450 ohm fed dipole... any suggestions other then avoid 33’, 66’ and 165’ feed line lengths?

Yea the has a been a tank since purchase. Long ago had a 80m dipole fed with 600ohm could tune that one anywhere.... with the AT4K.... I have been thinking about a Palstar BT1500, but the QA of Palstar has been going down hill. Maybe i can get my hands on the Dentron tuner.

So i have a 80m dipole fed with 150' of 450ohm window line. Its up at 50' i can NOT get it to tune on 20m with my Palstar AT4K. Same antenna less elevation will tune 80m through 6m on a Dentron Super Tuner.. No idea what else to do.

I agree... Aviation cannon plugs have switched from soldering pins to wire.... now just crimp the pins to wire...

Do you have any online sources for MORE mag loop info? My ARRL antenna books is so limited for Mag Loop antenna...

If i like the 160/80 mag loop performance, Ill most likely build one for 40/20. Can never have too many antennas on the farm.

Totally agree. i dont plan to run past 100w. 99.999% of the time on any Mag Loop
