In your video I can see in the display that it is changing. It says "FAGC" when you have it in fast agc. Then when you change it the "fagc" shuts off in the display. I just checked mine again and it does the same as yours. I dont think you will notice anything until you have a strong signal...

You might have mic gain too high, I run mine on 2 for 2 meter fm. Then on hf ssb I turn it up to 3 or 4. Also, are you running the separation kit. Sometimes the separation cable will let rf into the radio. Another thing when I have mine mobile it will do that unless I have the engine running.
Here is the antenna I use on a very small lot. Bottom is only up about 12 feet from the ground. I am using it without radials.....
