There askin to much for that. With that much money i could get a D-Star radio (which i am in Jan) and get the programing cord and still come out with change .

Nice radios . Back when he had a ham outing with Generals and Extras there and hear them on 7 mhz and it was amazing what you could do on 7 mhz and go from Florida to Texas .

Do you guys recommend the Icom 208H and if so what price ? Universal Radio has them going for $299.99 brand new and it's a dual band radio 2m and 440 and does 55 and 50 watts respectefully and the area around here is mostly two meter and 440 . 73's CJ

Well I'm happy to say over two weeks ago i got the VX-8R and my call 4 days after the radio show up LOL. I love the VX-8R han hit the repeater about 50% of the time with the rubber duck but with the mag mount 100% no problem. moleculo thanks for the review of the radio . 73's new ham tec close...

I study and took the test and it's easy with a couple of weeks of studyin and take the test. Even tho i have VX-8R I am not going to transmit till my call pops up on the database. So i strongley advise not to use his call and get your own through the proper channels . Links to practice test ...
