    Ouch on the antenna. First Mid air collision with the antenna ? Animals are not good expecially when you got squirrls like what i got here that wants to get on the tower .

    That repeater that i was hearing was the KQ2H. 1500W thats a lot of power .

    I know that some cars and trucks computers are kind of pickey do that on a new Chevy truck that they are running 4 to 8 computers in there. sense it's a 2006 it shouldn't be a problem it's just the newer ones that you have to watch out for .

    I was listening to my scanner on the ham and railroad bands ( I'm a railfan also.)and i was hearing a repeater on the frequency 29.6200 comming from NJ . Is it common to hear the 10 meters like over a 1000 miles away from the source ?
