    FTM-350 RF Interference Issue

If it's an aftermarket definitely a possibility, but as it just locks the doors wouldn't be my first choice as the doors need a code to be activated not just a random radio signal.

    Ultra small FM/VHF Marine Transciever

That is just a capacity of a battery, a 5 volt 1400 mah battery is far different in size than a 9 or 12 volt 1400 mah battery, you need to look at all the specs. An iPhone battery is a 3.7V 1400mah Li-po battery my Yaesu radio battery is a 7.4 V 1800 mah Li-po battery which also is part of...

    FTM-350 RF Interference Issue

A disk capacitor is one of those capacitors that, well looks like a disk as opposed to the ones that look like little cans. You put it across the the positive and negative leads. I'd start by putting a couple ferrites at the antenna as close as possible, and a couple on the power leads as close...

    FTM-350 RF Interference Issue

Do you have it hooked directly to your battery? What type of antenna mount are you using? Have you put and ferrites on the power leads and the transmission line?

ICOM 92AD GPS gets it right...

I would have prefered to just toggle it off or on in the software menu, that would have been better than a switch.

    Need some advise

Another important consideration is your budget. It's hard to recommend radios when we have no idea what you want to spend. Some people like simple radios and some people like and can deal with pages of menus. Take a look pick some radios that appeal to you and then ask, you'd probably get...

    NEW FTM-350 Owner

Yes that most likely is smart beaconing getting activated by bad speed data from the GPS, even the best GPS's get very bad speed readings like 380 mph or 579 mph.

Some minor changes to the forum

I'm gonna miss the Klavern Kracken. Maybe they can get some math lessons. How does $15/yr equate to $200/10yrs or $500/25 yrs? How about just taking the $25/2yrs times 5?

VX8R- How do you delete Digipaths?

Fixed my problem I have the programing software that allows you to change them, there is no way to do it in the radio by itself. Yes I've tried the manual and even talked to the tech at Yeasu, there comment was "that's interesting".

    Programming Software for the VX-8R

I've used the radio reference one for years with the Butel software and it works very well, even for multisite trunking. On a couple of rare occasions I've got a bad upload, where I had to tweak a setting or two but it works very well.

    Atas-120a good or not

I had an Atas-120, used it with my Ft-100D, it worked well for about 5 years, no issues (that is in Canadian winters with lots of salt on the road and crap). I just recently switch to a Icom IC-7000 and use a Little Tarheel II, and I have to say the Little Tarheel II kicks the Atas's butt. It...

Yes it is a marketing ploy, it's called making money to pay for the deveolpement, further develop and employ people. Everybody wants something for nothing, except when it's what they are selling.
