Ive had my drail on 955 for almost 2 years and i have no complaints. Yeah the cost was a little much but in the grand scheme of things i paid pennies on the dollar. The only douchebag who complains is hard drive and my locals wish they sounded as good.

I upgraded my 955 v1 power lead to a homemade 8 gauge lead and set my supply to 14.6 volts. I find i have less loss now with the new lead. I was losing 1.5 volts with the factory lead now its 3/10's of a volt loss with the 8awg. It would not be a good idea to hit your 300 with the 955 imo.
Been transmitting from Tampa daily for 40+ years mainly on 28 and was quite active local and skip. His daughter got on his radio at 6:25 this morning to break the news that he had pased at 6:22.
Florida gets daily west coast skip from September thru april/may. Sometimes the conditions are ripe and it lasts all day and sometimes its weak and lasts for an hour or less. Usually it starts between 10-11am as folks out west are waking up.
