One store i miss is being near is Kens Electronics in Kalamazoo Michigan. If you needed it Ken had it or he would get it for you fast. I believe hes been in that location for close to 50 years.

Ken is a great guy but a little quirky. Hes a very slow and...
Im certainly not a fan of the thin cords but its not too tough to pull the plug and build up the cord diameter. I don't understand why one would make a cord that doesn't fit the connectors.
I think the weak link isnt so much the output watts being too high. My toshiba 4 pill with 100 watts peak drive makes 1k peak and the 16 2k with that same 100 watts in. That 32 driven right should make 4k with out a struggle.
I think the issue is trying to match 32 "meh" quality transistors or...
Never mind, I figured it out.
The cord diameter is much smaller than the plug end that is supposed to squeeze and keep the cord from pulling on the wires. I found building up the cord with shrink tube so the cord wasnt allowed to just flop around has solved the problem.
Looks like the Workman 3AP 16g cord has the 2 piece plug that im looking for. All the others are a molded one piece design. Id like to make a few more of these if i can find the plugs cheap enough.
Went from dropping 1.6 volts to .3 volts.
The tough part was finding the right plug to modify. It has to be a 2 piece that uses screws.
I soldered the pins directly into the 8 gauge wire then filed the plug end until i could get the pins in the plug. A little shrink tube and it was done.
I...
He tried to keep delaying my build years ago for bullshit reasons like he was waiting on parts he told me months before he was ordering that week and crap like that. I finally filed a case with Visa and got my money back. Haven't had much good to say about him since.
I warned him about using a variac to slowly bring the unit up to voltage first time, i did i did. Relays as you said can also be an issue. The relay replacements we got from you work flawlessly, thank you.
From what i understand this is a dad/son thing where dad had a 300a years ago and wants...
Im dealing with amazon bs right now.
Bought from a private seller who instead of sending a casenof 12 as was ordered they sent me 2. Pain in the ass...
I've ran into a couple great deals buying from estate sellers. I picked up a Bird 4412 peak reader with the 10k slug for $200 shipped and another for $260 also with a 10k slug.
Most my easy ebay returns were from estate sellers like yours. The radio peeps fought me more but still lost and ive...
From what i understand is the vfo wind up only negates the clarifier if its been unlocked. Otherwise it works as it should.
I use mine as an agitator for my douchebag locals when they start playing games. I don't use it much but it sure pisses em off when i do.
The only meters/meter parts i buy on eBay are Birds and they are from one of 2 sellers only. Every other meter ive purchased from eBay have been junk. Ive pretty much stopped doing all business on ebay. Ill sell my shit local or not at all.
If it were me id send the unit to George at QP INC Elkhart Indiana. They do all the service work for Dosy and George is a great tech.
Just my opinion...
I have a spare 300a supply id consider selling him but there are a few issues to clear up before I do.
