Im certainly not a fan of the thin cords but its not too tough to pull the plug and build up the cord diameter. I don't understand why one would make a cord that doesn't fit the connectors.

Never mind, I figured it out. The cord diameter is much smaller than the plug end that is supposed to squeeze and keep the cord from pulling on the wires. I found building up the cord with shrink tube so the cord wasnt allowed to just flop around has solved the problem.
