    6m 2m ?

I've monitored 6m SSB and FM for 12 years now and it has been one heck of a dry spell. I think it's been 6 months since I have made a contact on 6m. 2m has had some good ducting lately, a few days ago we were working Florida on FM.

    They're here....finally......

You're absolutely right Park, the Liberty has got to be the most difficult vehicle I ever mounted a radio in, the hardest part is getting the coax and 12 volt wires through the firewall and into the passenger compartment. I mounted a Yaesu FT-2800M to the side of the tranny hump, put a Rat Shack...

    Cooking a Brisket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I think KS has the best sauce! There are a lot of good places, Lockhart has a pop of 10,000 and has 4 (one does not have sauce) very good BBQ joints. BTW, a BBQ place has to cook with wood to be worthy.

    Cooking a Brisket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I have been smoking meats for a few decades and the best way is to keep it simple. Use a dry rub of just salt and pepper, wrap it in foil fat side up, temp about 250 for six hours then unwrapped for about two hours or until done. There are MANY different ways to do it. Another way (this really...

FCC Denies New York Ham's Request for PRB-1 Ruling

"The Commission's 2007 letter also noted that the FCC does not have the resources to review all state and local laws that affect Amateur Radio operations and that local tribunals have authority to review local zoning decisions." The Fed's are just lazy.

Police mistake a ham radio for a bomb

When I traveled a lot I would operate 20M CW with a dipole in the hotel room. Lot a fun! A year after 9-11 I was on that rig in White Plains, NY in a hotel room when I set off the fire alarm with the RF I was generating. Within seconds the room phone rang, it was the front desk asking if...
