    SSTV

I tried looking for SSTV from late afternoon to about 8pm on 10, 11, 15, 17, 20 and 40 meters. Found nothing at all. I did find a fair amount of PSK-31 on 15, 17 and 20 though. 10 meters had CW. So I assume propagation is not dead, just 11 meters is dead through lack of interest.

    SSTV

Where I live, EU is a morning thing, it has died by noon my time. But in the last 4 weeks, I am getting nothing here in digi or SSTV. And not much of anything else either. The Spring dead zone is here. :( I can still get 20M and 40M though and sometimes just tune in to read the PSK-31 signals...

digital master 780/hrd and FLdigi are really crash happy

Low power and bad conditions is what this stuff is made for. Last summer I connected with a guy in France that liked testing the different modes. One day we talked back and forth for 55 minutes using Olivia 8/250. He could only get down to 1.5 watts and I managed a half watt indicated and we...

digital master 780/hrd and FLdigi are really crash happy

Well, I hope to find someone interested in doing more than monitoring it. There seems to be very few people into using digital outside of the Ham community and there seems to be hundreds of those. DM-780 has quite a few modes that work very well and when your ready to give them a...

digital master 780/hrd and FLdigi are really crash happy

It never did any of that for me. Here is a zipped copy from my own website, no malware there. http://www.flashbax.com/downloads/hrd52438.zip On his site, you want the first download at the top of the list, mouse over it and the file path is to an exe. That will set off some antivirus, cause it...

Here is the last free version by the guy who made it. IW5EDI Simone – Ham-Radio | Ham Radio Deluxe 5.24 Download – Last Version If you can't get it from there I can upload one to my site and download it from there.

Well, if you get caught lying, your name will be mud, and that will never leave you either. Ask obama. :D

    What to do?

I have made my living from the internet since 1998. It was just getting sophisticated back then, mail order and online shopping becoming more and more accepted. One big deal at the time was keeping the governments stinking nose out of it or they would ruin it. And the word going around was "we...

Same here, I have no problem with that same version.

This is a one of a kind Mobile Antenna

Wait, is this the guy that's always playing that steam powered sireen on 385lsb? Seriously, I don't get what they are doing here. Are they actually transmitting anything, how far and to who?

    What to do?

Obviously you either paid with a credit card, debit or PayPal. I would report it to them and let them deal with it and never go back to this company again. This isn't the first one of these stories I have heard about them.

Windows 7 64 Bit, and 8 GB of RAM. I think you need big RAM to make it stable, just guessing though. Anyway, never had an issue. It has acted funny a few times in the last year and I just restart it.

    SSTV

As a matter of fact.... I have played with SSTV and DIGI quite a bit last summer and fall, but all to EU, France mostly. I keep asking myself why it never caught on here, but I know the logical answer. Still that has not stopped thousands of CB'er from using big rigs and amps and any antenna...

    New MACO BA1 Balcony Antenna

I had small voltage on them without keying up, but when keyed up it went to over 5. And I actually have the ground on my manual Dentron 2000A going to a copper rod right outside the window and connected with 10Ga copper solid wire. So I am wondering what now. But the reason I separated them...

    New MACO BA1 Balcony Antenna

Changing the subject a bit, but have you ever put a volt meter from the case of your tuner and to a good ground and then key down? I did that with mine awhile back and found over 5 volts. LOL Also where are your tuners sitting? Can you place the radio close to it or even on top?

    New MACO BA1 Balcony Antenna

I'm a perfectionist. But, like I said, it's all in line with my COAX wiring from outside, thru the tuner and my antenna switch. And of course, SWR changes with the weather. This morning there is almost an inch of snow and ice stacked up on the top side of the elements and I am able to...

    New MACO BA1 Balcony Antenna

My Kenwood has no SWR metering function built into the radio. I already had the tuner in-line with all my wiring and antenna switches. Direct off the antenna into my cross type meter, it was a 1:1.3. I did not want to go out and fiddle with it any more and by the time I had the energy to do it...

    New MACO BA1 Balcony Antenna

Where are you in Wisconsin. I am over here in La Crosse. I was thinking paper would be a good packing for this long box. I have recently been getting other stuff with what looks like long narrow butchers brown paper. It's stiff and would work very well in these boxes, better than the...

    New MACO BA1 Balcony Antenna

I got mine yesterday. 1. First impressions are, it is light weight. 2. The whole box is 8 pounds, easily carried in one hand. 3. It has way too many staples holding it closed where tape would have done the job. 4. It is filled with puff peanuts that blow all over the yard if you open this thing...
