Well I finally got a Mongoose 450 from Ebay for $10.01, no transmit but it gives something to play with :D. Bidding on another but with the silver face.

The DM 452 mic does not have talkback in it. Only echo timing and mod adjustment.

My thoughts on winter, Christmas is great but winter sucks. JMO.

Hello, I was wondering if there is a mod for these mics to give them more bass in them? I read somewhere (not sure where) that removing a resistor or diode and putting in a tuning pot so you can adjust it. Is this possible? Thanks.

Well, I got to turn on. the receive is working but when I key up the meter on the radio goes to 0 s units. I have a radio close to it and it shows that the radio keys up but nothing shows on my Dosy meters and no modulation. What is going on with this radio? Please help. Thanks.

Well i put the new diode in (1N4002) and it went up in smoke instantly so there are more problems than I think it is worth.

I'm trying to find a picture of a component board for a cobra 25gtl. One of the Diodes went up in smoke a split, Yes SPLIT in half. So I need to know the value of this diode. It's location is D10, any help would be great. thanks.
