What is the boom length on the TV antenna? About how long is the longest element?

I used one for about 8 months in my mobile until it quit working. It had a different name brand on it, but same exact design. I can't exactly remember why it quit working, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to simple misoperation. :D

You still can't get "everywhere" just by moving the last digit. It's especially troublesome when the radio is off freq to begin with, as they usually come straight out the box. Unless you're a "come to me" kind of guy that isn't going to move his unlocked clarifier (or vfo) in the first place...

It is a little bit of a silly answer when you read it now. Used 2000's are probably going for more today than a used 696. However, I know for a fact some of the things I've said 7 years ago (or maybe 7 months ago) would make me blush. :blush:
