i would unlock the clarifier to track on transmit if you use ssb a lot (or cw). i believe there are some power mods too but i'm not all that interested in squeezing out 10 or 20 watts.

i use a G5RV...they are not really that bad...certainly not my dream antenna but it gets the job done.
