    Eagle 1911, You were right. It takes some amps to run that unit. I may as well offer somebody a super whamadine deal on it. I don't want to run it mobile and I don't want to put out the money for a bigger power supply. Thanks for your help.

    a good solder joint will be shiny when you are done. If it's dull, you didn't get enough heat and it can (will) fail, usually with temperature changes.
