I've been talking on a 636L as I lent out my 878DM and never got around to changing the end on the D104. You might be right that is the noise canceling mic. The DX has been so good down here I have just had the 636L on it to talk.

Recently, even with the delay on it is having a hard time staying keyed during SSB xmitting. It wont chatter but it will unkey if I wait too long between words. Any ideas? Thanks!

It gives good swing radio only. Note that all I have to go on is a RatShack meter. AM it will swing +\- 20 watts on all power levels and current draw is proportionate with the swing. With the amp turned on xmitting AM I will get reverse swing with a current drop. SSB I will get forward swing...

I mainly use this one on SSB but last night Cali was rolling in on AM. Soooo turned the delay off and tried to talk and wasn't getting any swing. Actually, as the radio would modulate the amperage draw would decrease. Any ideas?
