2980wx mine does the same thing turn the band switch while listening for weather,i think i was told when it blinks its searching for weather

2980wx yes it changes when turned,pretty good radios , after a year and a half i sent mine in for 4 different minor problems came back all working but now mudducking they pickeder back up and bump it up a little for me now its working like new again, id say go for it buy 1 10-4

this radio sounds awesome on am but side band is very muffeld sounds like it way over driven very fuzzy we can turn mic gain way down and still sounds the same (bad) i think its transmiting on freq but some thing else is wrong anybody had this kinda poblem with this radio its only two days old...
