    Re-claim 16 LSB contest Dec 24-31, 2022

I'll play in this contest when my WDX number gets approved. I was testing this morning and made several QSO's on 38 @ 10 watts PEP, kinda interesting.

It must have gotten deleted, I'm not seeing anything worthy of mention.

What is your typical noise level?

The antenna is an IMAX 2000 @ 25 feet, in town, near power-lines. My noise floor typically varies from S3 to S7, the really good days the noise floor will drop to S1. I think I have a bad insulator or transformer near me because the S7 days sound exactly like an old AC stick welder.

Taking bets on where Fine Tune pops up next

Just my opinion, there is no way I would wait 2+ years for a rejiggered chinezium radio. Just go buy an HF rig, open it up and you will have a far better radio on TX and RX, than the 955 ever dreamed of being,, for the same money. Again just my opinion.

Taking bets on where Fine Tune pops up next

Precisely this! There is a ton of room on 10, several locals are studying for this very reason. Sure there are idiots on the Ham bands as well, but it's just a spin of the dial to find another frequency to use.

    ID Numbers

What Brother DXer said. Pick the numbers you want, although you may want to listen for awhile so you don't end up with another locals numbers. Mine came from the displacement of the motorcycle I ride. I'm "1340 Nebraska" or "1340 Nebraska Mobile" when I'm in the Exploder.

This sucks, I hate scammers. I doubt that he will ever get his radio at this point.

Likely the voices in his head. Or the previous poster mistyped a 3 as a 2.

I was hoping this quality individual learned his lesson... I guess you can't expect to much when he doesn't even understand how a cheap SDR works and why strong signals look like they are splattering on said SDR's scope.

Does turning on the noise blanker reduce the racket?

How about part 2 joke of the day! You've got to look.

I need to get in the business of scratching the part numbers off a few stock components of a stock radio then pretending that it is something super special... :ROFLMAO:

Joke Of The Day: Effingham VS. Superhawk

Just buy a 7300 and convert it. Far better radio for the same money. Paying $1,297.99 for $200 radio is a special kind of stupid.

I just clicked over to 27.155 LSB, nothing heard in Nebraska, called a few times as well. There isn't much propagation today though.
