    SDR-1000

It could be the connections on the back of the 1000, but I'm not sure. I have never had the problem you are describing, but then I am not running any of the gear you have. I run a more traditional VooDoo rack for ESSB ... Ultragain Pro PreAmp, UltraCurve Pro EQ, Ultrafex Pro (VooDoo Box) and...

    SDR-1000

I dont have any RF issues any longer as I grounded everything to a ground bar. I also added lots of snap on ferrites to the audio cables coming from the Flex, that seems to have cured all my RF issues. You need to keep the rack gear as far away from the radio as possible.

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

I dont think you could afford me :) .. The mast is Schedule 40 Pipe 1 1/4 ID. Pretty heavy duty, the first piece I tried 1 1/2" ID was too big in diameter to fit through the pipe in the top of the tower. It was pretty tough getting the pipe inside the tower, lets just say it was a pretty good...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Initial signal reports. I contacted KE9RY with the beam pointed in his direction and I get the same report with the Mosley Mini 33 beam at 100 watts that I get on my wire loop with 1500 watts. I will do more testing tomorrow. I have already noticed I dont get much side or rear attenuation at...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Ok I got sick of waiting on a damn bucket truck so I did it the old fashion way. What a pain in the butt, but its up and working.

    AO-51 in bad shape

Hind site is always 20/20 .. But on the bright side the 2000 has much much better HF capabilities and my Flex needs to go in for a tune up..:thumbup1:

    AO-51 in bad shape

Yup AO-51 was a really fun bird, and the only FM bird a TS-2000 owner can really enjoy. It lasted longer than expected Hmmm why is the replacement still 2 years away.

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Ok a couple of more pictures, one is the tower and new mast all set and ready for the antenna's. The other is the Antenna's all prepped and ready to go up. The Satellite array will be on the very top of the mast and the beam will be just a bit over 4' below the array. Cant wait to get them up on...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Well Change 23, I found a used rotor tray for the tower and have disassembled everything. The Satellite array will be on the very top and the beam about 4' below it. No Gin pole requires a bucket truck to make it easy and he wasn't suppose to come till Tuesday so I redesigned the whole thing...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

For right now this is the easiest way to do it as I don't have a rotor tray on the tower or a 20' mast. If I had the expendable extra funds I would go that route. I will most likely change everything in the spring and swap stuff around. The Tray, thrust bearing and mast will cost between $350...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Well the tower stops at the peak of the roof, about 28'. Plus I dont have any room to mess with wires off the tower since its bracketed to the house. I do have a full size loop up out back for 75 and it tunes pretty well on 10 and 20. Looks like I will have the parts to add the WARC element...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Well being the impatient person I am I built up a mast plate out of a piece of aluminum plate I got at a friends shop. I also pieced together some muffler clamps and got some long 8mm bolts for the rotor separation kit, just cut the heads off the bolts and now I have studs that will work just...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Ok I got the Beam. First thing that happens when I arrive to pick it up is the guy knocks over the box and breaks one of the center insulators on a driven element. Luckily it was the WARC band element. Ordered a new one from Mosley. Then I get home and no Mast Plate, call the guy and he is not...

    Mosley Mini 33 Beam

Glad to hear it, its the Mini 33 with the WARC add on, 1yr old and I got it for $400 .. Hope to pick it up tomorrow. Now I need to get the seperation kit for the G-5400 rotor and will put the beam above the Satellite array about 5 feet. should work out pretty well. I'll post some pictures when I...

The difference an antenna makes on HF

Geez I feel inadequate looking at those big towers and beams. I'm looking at the new Mosley Mini Mono Beam for 20m. My main antenna right now is a 75m loop about 25 ft up.. It works pretty well on 20 and 40 with the tuner ..
