I am looking to trade my mobile rig consisting of a FT-857D with additional SSB 2.3 Filter ( 10 Months old ) , a Tarheel II antenna ( 3 months old ), and a Larsen Dual Band antenna for a 100 Watt SDR-1000 with tuner. Prefer late model with the 8 pin mic plug.
I picked up an older G5400B Yaesu that had never been used. It works perfectly with the ERC-R which is one of the better computer interfaces in my opinion.
Well I guess my comments have earned me a spot on his web site, even my Avatar photo is there. Then he attempts to make fun of an award I received.
I would have been more than happy to try and explain my reasoning to him in a civil type conversation but of course he starts out with name...
The EQ can be the hardest thing to get fully setup. I have tried several different Mic's and have finally settled for the Heil PR-781 I have it mounted on the PL-2T boom and bought a shock mount off e-bay for $25, way cheaper than Heil.
Anyway I spent a couple of hours the other night playing...
The Rig Blaster PnP will do both, it has a CI-V connection on it so you can do both the sound and rig control. I could never get it to work well with HRD and I sold my Icom. I use the Signalink with my FT-950 and Love it, much better than the rig blaster but you have to have a second connection...
I am going to put the 56" whip on it that is suppose to increase its ability, I have the ATAS 120 right now and really dont want anything much larger than that on my Explorer.
Maybe if I had a full size truck I would go with the bigger antennas. My ATAS has done really well and I have quite a...
The best thing about this post is you guys are making me get smart !!
So,
HV is the Plate Supply and is equal to the DC Voltage applied to the PA Tube. Which is a bit higher on 220v than on 110v ..
Ip is the Plate Current in mA which mine has been running around 450mA for 1K of output...
You asked for plate voltage, the 450 is the tube plate voltage, Grid Voltage is around 150. Static the HV is 3100 and under load its 2800 to 2900 on 220v .
Hope that clears it up. I'm still new to all these readings so if I gave an incorrect value please let me know.

Ok a few views of the software, it takes a little time to get everything synced up between the radio and software, but it gives you a very nice view of the band. You can also plug in to the head phones jack on the sound card and use some of the many features of the software to make you listening...
Well here it is, took longer than I thought and if you want to change the post around thats cool, but I didnt want to start a new post for it.
