Can you still get the parts and is it cheaper just to buy one?

nomadradio The last one was using a 3-500z and the transformer was out of a color TV with a 100 watt drive. But that was 25 years ago so I am a little out of touch on the new stuff. So I was looking for a schematic for one, so I could build one in my spare time. Any ideas would help.

If I was going to build a new tube amp, What tube would be the best. Watts being around 1kw or higher? 8)

My favorite is the 2970DX just because that is the only mobile radio I have. LOL.

The crystal freq's are as follows. 35.395, 35.895, 36.395 These need to go were the ten meter crystals are. They are located on the first board in the radio. When you open the top, you will see them. If you have never done this please let some one else do it. :lol:
