Just bought one of these. To expand move jp 101 over to the other set of pins. Done. A little disappointed with the newer finals but I'm sure after I get it tuned up it won't bother me as much.

The only hf I run for now is 10 meters. I am using an old Antron 99 vertical and seems to do much better than the 10 meter dipole I have in the attic.

Ended up breaking the brown wire. This is a newer SMD board. On the board where those 2 plug in blk is a grd and brown is the + volts.

I see this is an old thread but am interested in this radio. Which units came with the single final and when did they switch to 4 mosfets? A little confusing reading about this rig and what's inside.

I ran my 955 with Jetstream 50 amp,the dual meters are nice. When I ran an amp the 955 went on a Samlex 23 amp and the amp went on the Jetstream. Running all barefoot for now though.
