I have a few radios I need looked at and trying to find a decent shop in the Lancaster/Harrisburg area to take them. I hear Panama in Hbg on 19 advertising but can't find anything on him on the web to check him out. Any recommendations?

I just put one in a connex 3300 and now have no transmit at all,with it on or off. Figures. UGH!

With the Sirio Fighter NS I get 1.0 swr on 27.205,1.7 on 28.400. Works for me.

I personally don't think the max mod is snake oil,is has worked well in the radios I've put it in. My point is if you don't have any first hand with XXXX radio or mod don't trash it until you've tried it. Done hijacking this thread now.

So the video from Palomar showing the temperature on a max mod is a liar?

Mine did swing to almost 100 watts so I had to go in and turn it down to run the amp. The biggest advantage to the max mod I see is less heat buildup,always a good thing.

Like I said,do you have any experience with his setups? If so,share. If not,go away.

Don't know if I'd call it "hacked up". You ever have one? He replaces a few strategic caps for receive improvement,installs the max mod,aligns and power tunes the radio. So what are your first hand experiences?
