Millions. You don't often hear them, for one reason or the other, but if there are DX conditions, try to find a quiet channel. Some op's just like their local talk, and very often it's SSB and late at night. Others only come out for SKIP. But CB is facing the same problem that HAM radio is...

I never had a problem with mine mounted next to trunk...plenty of DX contacts.

How tall are your trees? I used to live in a subdivision with antenna restrictions and bought an A99. Painted it with non-reflective paint that more-or-less matched the tree trunk, then hoisted it up along the trunk of the tree. You had to know it was there to really see it.
