Make sure that the pump motor is bonded. There should be a #8 solid copper wire attached to the outside of the motor and also attached to any heater and control system or timer. I spent 15 years as a pool service tech and have seen people skip this during pump replacements many many times.
From what I understand the difference between the pm3 & pm4 is 3 stage vs 4 stage charging. So there is no difference when being used as a 12 volt power supply.
I have the opportunity to buy a PM-4 via Amazon and would only have to shell out $100 out of pocket because of a gift card and it'd be here tomorrow (prime).
MFJ-915, I have one on my feed line and it seams to work decent. As for A/C conditioners, I use them on all of my sensitive electronics in the house. Not necessarily for static issues but for the health and stability of the electronics.
I talk every day on my 955, none of the 8 locals I talk to has ever told me that I drift. And they would tell me if I did cause they know I'm particular about such things.
Those are great radios! The only downside is the power supply needed to supply the proper amps is a bit of a turn off to some of us. I was heavily considering one of those till I saw the amp draw.
I have 3 different mobile SSB radios that I use as base radios. President 2510, Galaxy 959(extra frequencies) and a Stryker 955.
The Stryker blows the Galaxy and the 2510 away!!! MUCH better audio and MUCH better(quiet) receive. I paired the 955 with a Delta M2 desk mic and it sounds amazing.
I have zero confidence that my rings are where they should be. They were very loose out of the box.
If all this is true about them not being any good on 11 meter than I'd say there is a very strong case of false advertising going on with Solorcon and there could also be some heat put on the...
Right now I have the tuning rings locked in the position they were in out of the box. After work tomorrow I can take a measurement from the tip to the top ring, then put the rings in the actual middle and measure again.
Recon you bring up a great point and it made me re-think my previous measurements. Now.... I do have a disclaimer on this info I'm providing as I'm very sleep deprived from snow plowing streets. As I was in my previous post.
I remeasured tonight. Previously I measured to the end of the...
Purchased this Max2000 on 1/2/20 from Copper. I have a fully assembled length of 23' 4 5/8". That is taken as the antenna was lying flat on my basement floor and straight inline with my tape measure (used to be a carpenter). The top section is 94 5/8". That is the longest section in the box...
