    The mod is not needed. no mods are ever needed, the term mod would not exist if we felt we didn't want to MOD something, the point is, you can mod this unit, you just have to do it right.     Midland 202M (77-202A) No TX / Good RX

    I have a Midland 202M that has great receive but the transmit has failed. I see that someone has replaced the driver with a Motorola HEP-S3049 which is a ECG295.
