Pez could you do a low dead key test? Maybe a 2 watt dead key showing PEP and average swing with NPC on and off.

I have been told an AT-5555Nii or AT-6666 is too much radio because of the number of finals but I believe from a 2 watt deadkey the swing will also be lowered to around 15 to 16 watts. Why would that be too much for a 2 transistor amp?

Just added a spring on my current toolbox setup the whip is feed with new rg58 from last radio my SWR was 1.4 on channel 1 and 1.2 on channel 40. Would it be worth buying a new mount and moving to a rear stake hole?

I think I will try the spring should I put a jumper from to to bottom or just use it as is? Never did the tennis ball have black plastic hose down low where it would hit the tool box.
