For several decades TS has been building these amps and if they were run as TS first recommended they were decent out of the box amps for the dollar, they had a bias set-up, not the best but if you stay within the guide lines they provided a decent signal on SSB.

On my 500 I have a separate positive wires to each two transistor board to feed them.
On the 8 transistor amps that would be 4 positive feeds, one for each 2 transistor board in the amp.
And the crappy fuse holders get bypassed, directly feeding the amp from the batteries.

There was another one as well, I think Shade tree has one, it was a new start up manufacturer.
I was told once that a good bit of a new radio cost was designing and molding a new benzel and faceplates.
I believe it, seems like every radio has a clone somewhere.
