don't worry i took care of the smoke problem. i see the cobra 29's cann't hold up getting run over by 18 wheeler at 79,560 lbs gross .metal cases just cann't take the pressure junk......

on a cobra 29. there is a red wire that is solder on board near R-46. where does the other end of wire go. its disconnected in this radio and i was wordering were to connect it. thanks

are the cobra 150 any better then a cobra 29 for just a cb radio mount in a truck. don't use any other channels then 19. i mean if you tale a 29 and install echo,talkback and tune. would it be equal to a 150 or not.

i buy radios has a truck driver and need a way to check the radios from home in stead of hooking them up in truck all the times. check on transmit and rec.. just need some sort of antenna.

what could i use for a base antenna to check radios out with. i have a wooden shed along side of home and was thinking of just mounting a antenna on the shed to use. its just for checking cb radios.

ok the high noise level i can knob down by touching radio or holding mic. coil cord. but the rec. some times is load and clear and other times low volume.

i got this uniden brought used. hooked up to big truck . i cann't get swr down. channel 1 is 1.7 and 40 a cann't even cal brake the meter. the antenna is just a 4' stick. had a cobra hooked up before. i brought a new antenna and braket and wire and the same thing. the rec. is weak. the noise...

what all can be done to boost radio up. i have changed tranistor to a 1969. set moduation up to 100%. where in cbtricks do you go to find mods. i been there and cann't find any for cobra or uniden.
