ya, I tried 443.300 with a + direction and a PL code of 162.2 and still nothing. I don't even hear traffic on that freq, like I think I should.

I think so, I need the correct PL code, direction and freq offset, which is .6 or 5mhz for a 2m or 70cm I used to get this working fine back in cali off of the repeater towers, not sure why I am not hearing traffic on it now in OKC.

I tried both of those, got no response to my QC calls.

Someone said *or at least I thought they did* that CHP freqs could be heard with this radio mod, but I checked CHP freqs, and they are WAAAY below what the ranges given in this thread are. Was I mistaken, or can someone shed some light on this.

New question. I go out to Parker, az a lot in the summer, and have seen online that there is a repeater on 146.850 with a PL of 162.2. However, when I key it up I get nothing. Does anyone know if there is a repeater out there and if it is working?

No, what I was asking is can I listen to 27 and 121 and all those other freqs on the RX or do they have to be in the specified bands mentioned previously?

Can this unit be unlocked to receive any freq or only the specific ranges noted above for both transmit and receive?
