Not planning on bootlegging anything. I came up with a callsign, or handle if you will, for myself and then I discovered there is club with the same name as my callsign. I am not planning on claiming to be a member of their club as I am not a ham operator. I simply emailed the club president...
So I decided to Google the callsign I am going to be using and discovered a radio group down here in the Coachella Valley that is called Desert R.A.T.S. (Radio Amateur Transmitting Society). The callsign I am going to use is DesertRatRadio1127. I contacted the president of the club (VE7REZ)...
Time Warner Cable here. No complaints about service recently. When we first got setup on their broadband cable it was a little glitchy at first, but their techs came out and fixed up pretty quick. The only thing I don't like about TWC is their pricing. We currently pay about $105/month for...
That or install an extremely high voltage fence that is buried in the ground at least a good 50 feet and an additional 50 feet above ground...That'll stop the tunneling and anyone who wants to play with that high voltage, well, so be it...Then just to add insult to injury if they did make...
This statue was wrapped in bubble wrap by itself, placed inside a box with packing peanuts, that box was placed inside another box with foam packaging all around, and they still managed to destroy the contents...What a waste of American tax dollars paying the salaries of these fools who can't...
My dad was telling me about an umbrella antenna out in the middle of the Arizona desert that is located on an abandoned military base that a lot of radio operators will go out to and hook up their equipment to. Anyone heard of this?
My dad up in Washington State had a lot of contact last week with Southern California, specifically Palm Springs for about 8-9 hours, and also the Mojave Desert, which is just north of me. He uses an RCI 2950 and a Sirio Vector 4000 7/8 wave on top of a 40ft tower...
My dad was telling me...
Just want to say that my station should be up and running within the next two weeks. I will be getting my IMAX 2000 pretty soon. Once I get everything up and running, of course, I will be experimenting with my radio to see who is in my area and who else I can contact. I am going to be...
Guy wire eyelets installed.
Just finished drilliing and installing the eyelet bolts for my guy wires. Als bought 3 more U-Bolts for antenna mast and support pole. I am going to have to buy 2" or 2 1/2" U-Bolts to secure the clothesline pole, support pole, and antenna mast together as well as...
Thank you Robb. This is the same opinion I am getting from my dad. He says to go with the 213 for the same reasons. I would rather go with this than the cheaper and do it right the first time around and not regret it in the long run.
Thanks again,
