I know this may open a huge can of worms. But, what do you think is the best AM/SSB mobile out there and why. Looking for performance not bells and whistels. I personally still like the Cobra 148/Grant XL type of radios. A little tweaking and you could have hours of entertainment with them...
Good clean amp . Has a lo / med / hi setting. Works as it should. On my amp guys bench it'll do 250 on mine it does 225. Asking $ 150.00 = shipping OBO
I found a Motorola HT1000, and 2 Motorola MTX. Not sure when I got these if the work or what.No chargers that I've found yet. I need to go through all these darn boxes and see just what I do have. Anyone know what they are used for? The HT100 is in excelent shape with a leather carrying case...
My first moble was a TRC24 mobile with the crystals in 1/2/3/4 swapped and did lower channels there. My base was a Pierce Simpson Guardian PDLII at 60' on a ROHN tower. Had a Varmit TX1000 behind it. Miss those days.
