I've tuned a Wilson trucker 5000 on my little dump truck more towards 28.3 but I've went up to the 28.6 area under 2:1 and I do ch 19 just fine. I get 3-5 miles with it, plenty for traffic reports. I get plenty of contacts using my magnum 357 on 10 as well.
