    Tv Interference

Not Tv, but 6 metres screwed with the sh#t teenager next for and hip sh#t hip hop loud music. Came to me one day asking if I knew how to fix the loud hum in his stereo. Nope son, no idea. Glad the bogans ( look it up for the people outside Australia) moved out not long after.

    Fellow gunslingers...

Call me a dinosaur, but it's kinda like those new twin turbo small displacement engines they are driving in SUV's. Don't know if you guys get them over there, but in Oz they are becoming the norm. Never been a fan of small calibre high velocity stuff, like engines, I like big bore and slow...

I need copper buss bar help

When working with softer metals I was always taught slow is the go. Too fine teeth on the hacksaw will clog up, so a bit coarser. Drill bit nice and sharp and low speed, but not low enough to dig.

    No more free ham ticket?

It's $55 Australian pesos down here. And the ACMA (our FCC) send a letter a few weeks before the actual renewal letter , just letting you know they will be sending the renewal letter...... Nothing like an excuse for keeping another useless public servant in a job.

    Dirland CB radio products

Probably RF getting back into the supply. My old ex Compaq server switching supply would shutdown completely with 6m as soon as I hit tx. Ferrites didn't help so it's just the emergency spare.

    Bird dummyload acting up

Bob, it has always amused me how everyone trusts their Bird. In a previous job we received a lot kit from various departments, and one of them would send their RF kit to us to check. There was boxes of Birds , loads and cables, all suspect. So the moral is, don't trust one reading from one...

    Tram 1411 - Impressed

I ran a Diamond discone for a year or so when living in an apartment. Just on the balcony rail. Surprisingly it worked well on multiple bands.

    Cobra enterprizes derringers are crapshoot

Yeah, you get that with a lot of manufacturers. Had a friends baby Desert Eagle 9mm only fired one round and jammed. Metal filings all through it. Looked like it had been built in back shack somewhere. I guess he rush to market exceeds quest for quality.
