This cat that does infowars is a radio talk show host that makes a fortune spewing his line of bull, he is no different than any of the others that are on the air everyday. His main concern is money in his pocket and if you buy his drivel you help to make him a rich man
Lets see the oil wells are owned by whom? Big oil companys!
Wholesale crude distributors are whom? Big oil companys
Refinererys are owned by whom? Big oil companys
Local gas stations are owned by whom? Big oil companys
Do you get the point? Big oil companys decide what crude sells for...
Back to the first question, now I have a question, would it not be cheaper to leave the radio stock and buy a small amp if all you are after is more power anyway?
2) Would that not work as well as an all out modded radio without all the splatter?
Sounds like Icom figured out they could stick 3 bucks worth more do dads, and charge 300 more bucks for the same rig, then blame the price on the cbers! Ham radio I love it!
Outnumbered in 1963 and still is today, cb also has had a lot more exposure in the media (TV, movies, etc.) which in part lies this big rub between the services
Have an a/s starduster that I bought back around 1980 still up still works fine, very broadbanded and I get very good reports running qrp with no tuner.
$2.15 - 2.20 fer cheap gas, $2.35 - 2.45 for Mr Cummins.
I think we all know that this is greed pure and simple, and as long as we have an oil man in the white house nuttin is going to change!
Lets go back to moving the whole thing out of the hf spectrum a minute, wasn't this talked about before with the 220 mhz area being the place where cb would end up because at the time it was used very little? Seems like I have read about this and at the time the arrl screamed bloody murder and...
Thanks, I personally don't have any need of this setup I just heard some folks talking about it a while back, I just didn't see how a length of coax was going to change impedance, but I thought I might be over looking something, I know back in the 70's a lot of guys would use the old flat ladder...
Come on guys this back in the 60's people didn't do this is completely bogus. People have ran more power and talked dx from day 1, how many swaped the tx and rx crystals in their Johnson white face so they could have more freqs? how many ham radios were used as cb's in the 50's? This kind of...
I have heard some guys talking about running long runs of cable say up the side of a mountain, using 75 ohm coax for the longest part of the run, with a specific length of 50 ohm at each end. Not sure on lengths but the thinking is that 75 ohm is cheaper and the runs at each end with 50 is...
You can try to write it off or say it is not official to try and take what the man said and make it mean what you will, BUT, The man said what needed to be said!
:D Peddler this is the best thing I have read about the FCC since I have been coming to this forum, please post this over in the FCC activity section so those folks that get a thrill out of posting the Johnny got busted junk can read it! Riley hit the nail smack dab on the head, if all you can...
I know all to well about administrative law having delt with it in some unrelated issues, I know from experience that if it is not specifically stated in the record ( rules) it can not be said to apply. The rule in question states only amps it does not mention any other gear. A lot has changed...
I should proabley stay out of this cause I will most likey start WW3 but anyway, if you get down to the law anything but a type certified radio is illegal to operate on the cb portion of 11 meters, and it can not be modified in any way. Now we know that there is very few radios that are operated...
