I'm using a 307 built 4x2879 w/bias with my 955 V2. I had a Carl built 4 pill, but it had input tune issues, as did the Fat Boy 4 pill. Both went back. The 307 was a keeper.

My V2 NR still sounds sort of robotic on AM, and so-so on SSB.

Got her doing close to 80W again. I'm happy so far. Reports are great.

Less watts than before (70w vs 80w). But the quirky volume, rf gain, and squelch problems are gone.

They swapped the chassis and kept the same bezel, controls, and top and bottom sides. It does have a new serial #.
