???? There aren't any schematics available for the 980. You'll have to dig around the board yourself to find it. There's a few 980 threads on here that get bumped from time to time with anything new. So you want it quieter than setting 1?

I can see both sides of the argument. 10 years probation seems not too harsh because he's still allowed to roam about. But the state gets a monthly payment(free money from a family with lots), he has to see an officer every month as well, IIRC he'll be subject to random urinalysis and breath...

I have two as well as many others, also. But US stuff is all 110 plugs, but you can charge just about all your electronics with 220 and a small adaptor. But there was always someone forgetting and turning the smoke loose with a shaver or something. Elec Tech smoked a big screen TV once.

Once you let out the smoke, it can't be put back in. It's gone forever. I had an electrician tell me that when he first got onto a ship that was all 220v with converters everywhere for the stupid Americans.

Front fender/hood mounted? About the same height as the rear mount, but you could get further away from the corner with it. I'm working a mount like this for my little car right now. Looking for the right radio for my needs and size as well as putting the engine back in it after a rebuild.

Depending on how it attaches to the bedrail, could you have a bracket that mount to inside of the bedrail, comes across the top flush, then rises and 90s over for an antenna mount. The antenna and coax would be sticking out past the edge of the bed, though. But access to the bed wouldn't be...

I fabbed my bracket out of stainless as well. I swiped it from my drillship that was built in Korea, so it was metric. But I think it was 6mm plate and barely clears the tailgate. I run a SS whip on it and it haven't had any issues of bending or warping no matter what I run through or under...

It's a Tacoma with a fiberglass camper, but the same idea as you. Works fine with the whip and good with a 5' Firestik just long enough to clear the camper-top.

Same here. Dual batteries and a proper winch may have been very useful. Add those to my list.

I use my stock mic and it works fine. Only use the talkback on the 980 for when my 4 year old baby girl wants to talk to some locals. She loves it.

Saw this on the cheap gift rack at Target. It's to plug in your cell phone speaker jack and claims it's PTT. Doubles as a speaker for music or whatever, too.
