I hope you enjoy that rig, they do drift really bad, but hen they warm up to a certain point thay will have your ears full of modulation on SSB, now on AM it was not THE LOUDEST out there, but good enough to be called a big strapper, good luck, and take care. </p>

I also ran a fgan kit on my 2995DX and it NEVER got hot and as far as disturtion is concerned, i have not had anyone tell me it sounded bad, sooo. </p>

I have a rod of god and it is buy far the best mobile antenna your will EVER put on your vehicle, it is "BAD" BUT, you cant not ride around withit on your vehicle, i promise you this. If you get one and are in one spot keying that vehicle, you will dominate the air waves. </p>

i assembled mine on the ground about 8 feet and then i tuned it in the air. The antenna worked very well, but it dont work like they state it does, LOL, LOTS of wind load. </p>

unless the driven tubes are taken out of it, yes. I had a Eagale 515 and it did about 1200 PEAK </p>

Is this the Kengrich Eagle 500 Base amp? it is Brown Woodgrain looking box? If so, you dont need to put anything over a dual final radio into that amp, and about a 2 watt dead key. </p>

Well, if you are not causeing any trouble with them with the 3, then the 5 should work out well. As long as everything is setup right and the right grounding is used, you will be in good shape. </p>
