As I am from VK land, application for running W9WDX (Claus 2) would be subject to (Claus 4) advanced here in VK are full band use (minus 75m and 1.25m) with 400w ssb (application for 1KW with acma) output 120w am/fm. But I wonder how I would go running a W9 call out of VK?

Was wondering how the club call would be used?. Our local club call (VK2AFY) is used whilst txing from the club shack but as w9wdx is a net based club how will this call be used?.

did a quick searh for you but sorry i dont have time to do an indepth look however 2sb525 data sheet as you stated is not easy to find however the replacements are:- 2sb598,2sb734,2sb562,2sa683,2sb1035 & 2sb1237. so if you look up the data sheets for the equivalents then you should have your answer

Sorry Lenny I mis read your post, I missed the fact that you could not find the data sheet, (minor brain fart on my behalf). What was the info that rci gave you?. I am not sure what mod you are trying to achieve. (is it a display color mod?)

Sorry what is the question? You state that the data sheet is to old for the transistor in question??? Mate data sheets don't change!!! If you can't read and understand the information given then I suggest that you should give it to a decent tech to do what ever mod you are trying to achieve

Sounds like he is making a tuning stub, the only prob I can see is that if he is leaving an open end of a 1/4 wave stub then it will act like a wave trap. I use this method to cure TVI. If he adjusted then shorted the other end then it would act like a tuning stub manipulating the impedance
