The software mod only works on the European version. The you have to do the resistor mod for the US model. Hope that helps.

I am wondering if a mobile antenna (2m/70cm) with a mag mount stuck to the flashing on top of my chimney would work. The flashing is 2-1/2' x 4'. Would that provide enough ground plane if the antenna was placed in 1' x 1' from the corner? The furnace vent is in the center. Thanks
