I finally decided to go fire up the radio. That lasted for about 2 minutes then the thunder and lightning sat in. Been raining on and off all day with no lightning, but I decide to get on the radio and bam!

Still have to get my Zero Five antenna up. Been using a procomm 99 as a temp set up but can't get the SWR low enough. Hoping within the next few weeks I'll get the zero five up and be up and running and chatting with everyone

Finally after dealing with a hectic schedule finally got it completed!

If I can ever catch a break I'll finally get my base completed. All that I need to finish is to hook up coax and route through window and get antenna up but a hectic work schedule is preventing that. Slowly but surely I'll get this sucker on the air

Oh most def. Got a RCI2970N4 on the way and one of the 43 foot Zero Five fold over antennas coming too. I figured this might be a pretty good set up.

Still learning antennas, but a yagi is a beam correct? Wouldn't that require a rotator?

The mast I am getting is collapsible so I can bring the antenna down in storms. Not looking to break the bank but don't mind paying for an antenna is that's one of the main things for a set up to work properly
