the resistor is across pa & ext sprk pads...same as i did in my 148 without incident. pa, internal sprk, ext. spkr, and mic work fine. also tried a brand new resistor too. funny thing is that the talkback worked just fine then quit working. curious

nah the mod i was referring to was replacing the stock final with a 1969 (which I have) and after that part the instructions get vague. they talk about jumpers and diodes (but never menton the numbers. ex D14 or whatever)
