I smoke but not in the house. When I bought my old Browning base the guy that had it was a cigar smoker. The ash try was right in front of the radio. It took a lot of cleaning but I got the color of the radio back to what it was supposed to be. It was a mess! Terry

It is like that, with the set screw. The problem is, say channel 3. It is about 1/2 way between 3 and 4. But, channel 23 would be up where the old 23B was. So 23 is off by 2 channels. If they were all the same moving the channel disk would do the trick. Terry

It was a strange day. I had contacts in WI, MI and NJ. But I couldn't really carry on a conversation with them. There was just too many coming back to me all at once and I couldn't get just one number. There was a guy in WI that followed me from 38 to 39...but so did the rest!:headbang But...

I tried it out today. It keys the radio but there is no modulation. Is there any way to check just the head unit? Maybe that is the problem. Terry
