    This new starduster is nowhere as good as the original! Plus, parts missing and bent parts. It is going back. Junk. Now, any suggestions. I prefer an out of the box, hook up and use antenna. I'm too old to be messing around with tuning etc.

    Back in the day when things were busy I would take the Browning up 10kc above 23. Or 20kc above 23. It caused a lot of confusion down on 23! Another was to split channels. Talk on one and listen on another. You had to have a seperate transmitter and receiver.

    I have an old D-104 that no longer works. It will only throw a dead carrier. Has anyone come out with a good replacement for the head element? Terry

    Using an Ultragain Pro model MIC2200

    I am going to use a MXL V67 microphone into the above preamp on my Galaxy DX2547. I used this setup in the past. BUT, Over time I lost the settings I used. Has anyone on here used this vacuum tube powered preamp? Thanks...Florida Starduster
