Only thing I found different....i had to switch the red and blue. I plugged it in and noticed there was no sound and transmitting at full power...then when i keyed mic i could hear......switched them and worked perfect

Yea it is some sort of knock of and uses 2 mrf453 pills. Radio is stable and pushes my palomar star iv just fine on the extra channels.

I have a small amp that ive been using when out at the hunting shack and firewood cutting place. I am reported to have a nice crisp clean sound on 38 when running the full 150 watts...but iof i go to channel 42 I am told I have a warble to my voice. Also, on 42 when talking I notice the relay...

The guy sent me a Superstar mic that wont work no matter what. Ive hooked it up for a 4 pin Cobra and it didnt work either. My D104 is shot....i have to yell into the mic in order for it to work. I also confirmed this by hooking it back up to my 5 pin Washington. So nothing in the radio is...

Got the mic all hooked up and seems this ole d104 has gone to crap. I have to speak loudly into it for it to start transmitting. Now looking for the wiring guide for the Superstar DM-452

So if im reading correctly...the shielf wire which in this case is a bare silver wire and the blue wire are going to connect together to number 5?

I recently got an Eagle Tomahawk in the mail and the mic that came with it was a Superstar DM-342 mic. The Eagle uses a 6 pin DIN setup and the mic wasnt wired in. Im hoping to hook up my Astatic D104 Lollipop with this radio but it is a 5pin. I have looked around online but cant find anything...

R153 is already a 12k in my radio. Doesnt appear to have been added and looks to be from factory

Clarifier was unlocked when i got it. Tomorrow when im out in the shop ill take a look and see if i can find which method was used to unlock it. Any idea where to start looking as to why it isnt unlocked corectly following your advice?

I opened up my clarifier along time ago and was satisfied as it allowed me to tune people in and make sure at all times I was right on frequency. However, recently Ive been playing around on .555 alot and keep getting people asking me to go to .600 or .610 and the such. My clarifier doesnt allow...
