Just going out on a limb here but... could the cameras be up to monitor the property and could be security for a grow operation? Grow lights have a long history of giving off tons of RF noise.. this is all speculation on my part. Best of luck on a resolution to your problem.
No major time dedicated to this contest.. busy weekend at home. Still managed 47 Qs. With my mults had 2,474 total points. Low power class, Analog only. Picked up a new grid in TN on 432. All in all not to bad considering bands kinda sucked and my 6 meter feed line is bad so only had 2-1296 to...
Nice looking hat! I was brought up in a steelers house. My dad proudly wore a coat with the 4 super bowl wins 75,76,79,80 on the back. He preached the gospel of the "steel curtain". He used to say "son, that's the working mans team!" He passed in 99 when I was 17 but it still resonates in my...
They quit making the regular 2950cd a while back. Guess they burned through what inventory they had left on the higher power (more $) rigs and decided to pull the plug. That's a shame but it has lived a long life. 30+ years. I guess with the influx of Chinese stuff and continued QC issues this...
I would never waste my $ on hardline on anything under 50 mhz unless I had a ridiculously long run to my towers. I'm at around 100 ft total. 213 HF, lmr 400 6 meters, 1/2 inch hardline 144 beam. Lmr 400 2m/220/440 vertical and 7/8 hardline for 222,432,902 &1296 mhz. Lmr 600 flex for rotor loops...
Invest in the tamper proof seal stickers. The local shop 25 years ago had them. If you cut it between the case top on bottom..your baby. ..If you pealed it off it left a checker board pattern on the case. I bet that would slow this shit down considerably.
Need some tamper proof stickers for the case. "Warranty void if cut or removed"
When trying to remove they separate into a checker board pattern. The really good shop we had around this area 25-30 yrs ago used them. Cut back on all the bullshit
I don't have experience with the 9800 but ran a 7800 for a few years. I almost bought the 9800 but saw no need for FM only 10/6 meters. We have no repeaters locally on those bands and lf the bands are that open I have other radio options for FM work.
I really like the yeasu knock off design of...
I use the Zed all the time for looking up calls when I'm operating. It's very handy for beam heading. I also like knowing the air mile distance which is great especially with vhf/ uhf contacts. I periodically read the stories on the main page and check out the swap. I've never dove into the...
