A new radio came in with low RX audio. Volume cranked, ear to speaker, then I can hear it. Rf gain level is up and signal meter responds as it should so the rf is there. The audio is just almost nonexistent.
Note: TX and Talkback audio is fine.

For the open clarified I lifted leg to d68 and r123, then, ran jumper from 8 volt rail. I do a couple every day just like that. Again, put back to stick when I noticed no RX during Alignment. Silly me. Should have check RX beforehand but ya know...saving time ♂️.
Thanks...I’ll go back on...
No AM Receive
No FM receive
USB and LSB receive works fine
TX works on all modes
Everything else works
PA Works
New radio. Didn’t notice issue til after frequency alignment and open clarified mod. Reverted back to stock. Rechecked work.
Thanks, Robb. I traced it back to Q44. The trace was pulled away from the board, slightly. Re flowing the solder did not fix it though. Q44 was actually bad. It must have gone bad from having the bad connection.
She's back in business.
PS: This is a fresh out of the box radio. Arg...
cannot engage squelch (constant static). Squelch pot is adjusting correctly 0-50k. The problem is on both AM and SSB, however I check Vr3/d15 and vr4/d35 anyway, and they're good.
Should I be looking at IC1 or possibly a transistor? I don't have a voltage chart.
Suggestions?
Well, this took care of part of my problem. After doing to mod, the radio transmits as it should. However, the receive still does not work properly. Everything comes in garbled, though the meter response as it should with respect to RX signal. Wonder how do bypass the entire ST in RX and RX...
I think that deals with a different problem, however it's such a simple task that I will go ahead and remove the 2 caps and short the 2 legs of the ic and we what happens.
Difficult explanation...I'll briefly describe symptoms and skip to the weird stuff.
TX modulation drops to nothing after a few seconds of keying.
RX audio is faint, though the meter shows RX is working. Sounds like it's off frequency but isn't.
Turn on SoundTracker and it improves the RX...
