Hello group, curious which mic would be best for the president Washington 10 m radio? Would a power mic be a better choice than the new Digi Mike for AM use? Would a power mic just be an over modulation nightmare? Just stick with the stock mic and call it good? Thank you!

I think I know what antenna you're referring to, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name. Looks almost like an elongated hexagon with a loading coil in the middle. I'll keep digging.

Avoid at all costs! Several years ago, I purchased a "pristine" Cobra 2000GTL. Received a POS radio and broken parts just thrown in a poorly packed box. After several weeks of back-and-forth, I was able to get my money back. What a mess.....

No, but antenna is a Zero-Five multi-band 10-40 G/P vertical. It's not very resonant on any one band. I'll try no tuner here in a bit.

No. Tuner works fine with three other radios in the shack.

Sorry, 7.47 with amp on. amp off SWR 1.30. Same jumper as other radios. (did swap jumper, same high SWR results). Even with amp off, the tuner still "freaks-out" when trying to tune the Lincoln. The longer I dead key, the more the tuner gets erratic. By my crude process of elimination...
