My bad, I wrote 2290 Covered in paint to obscure the number? I hate when these guys do that crap. You can desolder the base and collector tabs and test all 4 transistors and go from there, one of them may have failed open. With Toshiba transistors they were consistent, you could just swap out...

That resistor gets hot if there is a imbalance in the two transistor pairs. I hate to suggest that one of those 2290's has failed, but..... 73 Jeff

Holy crap Last time I bought these they were about $6 Now $15 on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-PL-259-Female-SO-239-Connector/dp/B0FZ62Z86R $45 bucks is ridiculous for 3 adapters...... You are probably better off going the coax adapter at that cost...
